Audio leak issue: FIA start investigations against Ch Pervaiz Elahi

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Friday started investigations against Punjab former chief minister Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi in the audio leak issue.

In the first phase, the FIA has decided to conduct forensic of the audio leak.

According to sources, the audio-tape of Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi will be sent to the Lahore laboratory for forensic. A case will be registered against Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi after receiving the forensic report.

On Thursday, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah had announced to hold investigations into the audio leak. The investigations have been started after getting permission from him.
