Avenfield case: Nawaz real owner of London flats, term NAB prosecutor

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) prosecutor Sardar Muzaffar on Thursday has termed that former prime minister Nawaz Sharif is the real owner of London flats. Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir heard the Avenfield reference against Sharif family. In his concluding arguments in the Avenfield reference against the Sharif family on third consecutive hearing, the NAB prosecutor emphasized that Nawaz Sharif is real owner of London flats but ownership was kept hidden through offshore companies. Sardar Muzaffar also termed that that there was no record of transfer of bearer shares from Qatari Prince Hamad bin Jassim bin Jaber Al Thani to Hussain Nawaz. Accountability court Judge Mohammad Bashir adjourned the hearing till tomorrow. Earlier in the hearing, Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz had sought five-day exemption from appearance before accountability in the three references against the Sharif family.
