Awn Chaudhry resigns as adviser to CM Punjab

LAHORE (92 News) - Punjab Chief Minister's Adviser Awn Chaudhry has resigned from his post as the adviser to chief minister Punjab on Friday.

It was reported that Awn Chaudhry stepped down over charges of lobbying against the incumbent government. He is accused of working against the party, sources said and added that he is an important leader of the Jahangir Tareen group.

Awn Chaudhry was appointed as adviser to Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar back in August 2018.

On the other hand, sources said that pro-Jahangir Tarin group called an emergency meeting after Awn Chaudhry resign. The sources also said that Tarin group will show its political power in coming days.
