LAHORE (92 News) – PML-Q president Ch Shujaat has said that Azadi March was the first sit-in in the history where no scuffle occurred. Talking to the media on Saturday, he said that some novice people had advised Prime Minister Imran Khan to establish the writ of the government, but he rejected the proposal. He said that people used to advise them during the Musharraf era to establish the writ. “It was the first sit-in where Molvis and the police were in front of each other, but no scuffle took place,” he said. The PML-Q president said that the credit of controlling the sit-in goes to Prime Minister Imran Khan and Interior Minister Ijaz Shah. “It was impossible to stop the clash if the situation deteriorated,” he said. He said that they were continuously in touch with Maulana Fazlur Rehman during the sit-in. Ch Shujaat congratulated the Islamabad administration for controlling the sit-in and expressing patience before thousands of people.
