Azam Nazeer Tarar says all SC judges are equal

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Federal Law Minister Azam Nazeer Tarar has said that all judges of the Supreme Court are equal, adding that the system should be strengthened instead of strengthening the personality.

Expressing his views on the floor of the Senate on Thursday, he said: "The constitution says that no one should interfere in the domain of any institution."

He said that a new trend has been witnessed in the Supreme Court during the last two decades.

Azam Nazeer Tarar said that such suo motu notices had been taken that the people pressed their fingers in their teeth. "The state suffered losses of billions of dollars due to the suo motu notices. We faced the losses of Liver Hospital,. Riqo Dig and Steel Mills," he added.

He said that the parliament had power to do legislation.
