Azhar Ali resigns, Sarfraz appointed as ODI captain

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan one-day cricket team captain Azhar Ali has resigned from captaincy on Thursday while Sarfraz Ahmad has now been appointed as the ODI captain. According to details, Pakistan Cricket Board chairman Shehryar Khan held a meeting with the team management in a hotel in Dubai. Head coach Micky Arthur was also present on the occasion who apprised the PCB chairman regarding the team’s defeat in Australia. Shehryar Khan held a meeting with Azhar Ali afterwards where he informed the PCB chairman about his resignation. The PCB chairman listened to him carefully and agreed upon the resignation. Sarfraz Ahmad is already serving as the T-20 captain.
