Bacha Khan University reopens after 26 days

CHARSADDA (92 News) – The Bacha Khan University Charsadda has been reopened today (Monday) after 26 days following terrorist attack last month in which 22 people including students and staff members were martyred and dozens of others injured.

Talking to media University Vice Chancellor said that strict security arrangements have been made, adding that the trauma counseling will be arranged for students.

He declared the government responsible for insufficient security arrangements and said that they did not have any prior information of last month’s deadly attack.

Earlier, a group of militants attacked Bacha Khan University in Charsadda on January 20, opening fire on staff and students in the institution’s academic and residential blocks and killing at least 20 people, including a professor, and injuring 11 others. Four terrorists were killed by security forces.
