Bahawalpur crosses Lahore in the most polluted cities of the world

LAHORE (92 News) – Bahawalpur has ranked first in the most polluted cities in the world, while Lahore stands second on Monday.

Smoke emitting from factories and chimneys are continuously polluting the environment, causing respiratory diseases.

According to World Enviroment Organization, during moring time Lahore ranked the second most polluted cities in the world with 262 air quality index, while 333 air quality index of Bahwalpur was recorded.

Environment Protection Department recorded air quality index of different areas of Lahore. 224 in Town Ship, 214 in Town Hall and 350 in DHA Phase eight thorugh mobile van was recorded.

Meanwhile, 243 in Rawalpindi, 198 in Faisalabad and 170 in Rahimyar Khan air quality index was recorded.
