Bahria Town CEO Malik Riaz booked for transferring state land fraudulently

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) have registered a case against Bahria Town Chief Executive Officer Malik Riaz for constructing a housing society by fraudulently transferring the state land. The Forestry and Revenue officers have been nominated in the FIR registered on the recommendations of the joint investigation team. The FIR contains the sections of fraud, change in the state record and criminal negligence. Former secretary to Punjab chief minister GM Sikandar has also been nominated in the FIR. The case has been registered on the complaint of Technical Forestry, Wildlife and Fisheries Department Additional Secretary Shahid Rashid Awan. According to the FIR, the housing society was constructed by transferring 1170 kanals of state land. Meanwhile, the Sindh High Court has issued contempt notices to Malik Riaz, Ali Riaz Malik and Zain Malik over the booking issue of Bahria Icon Tower. On the other hand, Lahore Ring Road Authority launched an operation against Bahria Town and retrieved the state land.
