Bahria Town ordered to stop construction work on 6000 acres of land

KARACHI (92 News) – The Supreme Court has on Wednesday ordered Bahria Town Karachi to stop construction work on 6000 acre of land allotted illegally to the Bahria Town with an immediate effect. A two-member bench of the Supreme Court headed by Justice Ameer Hani Muslim heard the allotment case of Bahria Town. During the proceedings, the court had barred Bahria Town Karachi from construction work at 5, 786 acres of land. The court had ordered barring the MDA from allotment and transfer of 12,000 acres of land to Bahria Town, while the court ordered that the land was illegally allotted to Bahria Town by the development authority.
