QUETTA (92 News) – Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal has hinted at tightening the lockdown in the affected areas. Talking to the media during his visit to Civil Secretariat’s Control Room on Monday, he said that coronavirus is spreading rapidly through local transmission. “The cases reported so far pertain to the people who themselves came for the testing,” he said. The chief minister said that the government has started random testing for the last three days and so far conducted 600 tests. “Of the tests, 35 people have tested positive for coronavirus,” he said. “We lack health care facilities. There is no industry in the province. The private sector is almost zero in the province. Luckily, the death rate is very low in Balochistan,” he said. Jam Kamal said that the people should stay at home. “Coronavirus is being taken seriously in our rural areas. The people violating the lockdown will be sent to quarantine centre,” he said. He said that the mosques are implementing the SOPs. “The lockdown can be eased in the areas implementing the SOPs,” he maintained. Meanwhile, Liaquat Shahwani said that the people violating the lockdown would be arrested.
