Balochistan govt decides to form new force for security of varsities

QUETTA (92 News) – In wake of last week’s terrorist attack on Bacha Khan University in Charsadda, the Balochistan government has on Monday decided to establish a new force for the security of universities across the province.

The new force would work under the vice chancellors of the universities, while the police would have the administrative authorities.

Earlier last week, a group of militants had attacked Bacha Khan University in Charsadda, opening fire on staff and students in the institution’s academic and residential blocks and killing at least 21 people, while injuring several others.
