Balochistan govt presents Rs419 billion budget

QUETTA (92 News) – Balochistan Finance Minister Zahoor Buledi presented the Rs419 billion budget for the next fiscal year 2019-20. Speaker Abdul Qaddus Bizenjo presided over the session. Speaking on the occasion, the finance minister said that Rs126 billion has been allocated for development, while over Rs291 billion has been earmarked for non-development expenditures. He said that the budget deficit stands at Rs47 billion. He said that over Rs60 billion has been allocated for the education sector, while Rs44.6 billion will be spent to improve the law and order. The session that started with a delay witnessed hue and cry from the opposition. The opposition also chanted slogans against the budget. Talking to the media, Balochistan Chief Minister Jam Kamal said that the budget would benefit all districts. He said that development projects, including roads, schools and sports complexes, have been planned for each constituency. He said that the budget deficit would be overcome.
