Balochistan presents Rs 353b budget for FY2018-19

QUETTA (92 News) – The Balochistan Assembly presented Rs353 billion budget for the next fiscal year 2018-19. The budget session was presided over by Raheela Hameed Durrani on Monday. Balochistan Adviser on Finance Ruqqaya Saeed Hashmi presented the budget. The total volume of the budget is Rs 352.30 billion. The biggest amount has been allocated for education. According to the budget, a 10 percent increase in salaries and pensions of the government employees has been announced. Special amounts have been allocated to end educational backwardness and construction of a cancer hospital. However, the opposition parties have termed the budget anti-people. They said that it is enmity to release billions of rupees for favourite constituencies.
