ABU DHABI (92 News) – Bangladesh defeated Pakistan by 37 runs to reach the final of the Asia Cup at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi on Wednesday.

Chasing the 239-run target, Pakistan could score 202 for the loss of nine wickets. Imamul Haq smashed 83 off 105 balls with the help of two fours and a six. Asif Ali (31) and Shoaib Malik (30) were other top scorers.

Mustafizru Rahman and Mehedi Hassan grabbed four and two wickets respectively. Rubel Hossain, Mahmudullah and Soumya Sarkar took one wicket each.

Earlier, Bangladesh scored 239 runs for all in 48.5 overs.

Mushfiqur Rahim hit 99 off 116 with the aid of nine fours. Mohammad Mithun (60) and Mahmudullah (25) were other main scorers.

Junaid Khan chipped in with four scalps. Shaheen Afridi and Hassan Ali took two wickets each. Shadab Khan got one wicket.
