ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, the chief justice of Pakistan, remarked during the hearing of Bani Gala encroachments case on Tuesday that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Imran Khan was about to form the government. He said Khan should take up this matter and set a good example. The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Tuesday resumed hearing a case pertaining to illegal encroachments in the federal capital's Bani Gala vicinity. As the hearing got under way today, Akhtar Jamil Rao, the surveyor general, was summoned. The chief justice said the court was not satisfied with the performance of the Survey Department. "The Survey of Pakistan has not completed the task of surveying the federal capital and covering the drain," he said. The surveyor general informed the court that the Rawalpindi Revenue Department had not made available its records and maps for the task at hand. Expressing his displeasure with the Revenue Department, Justice Nisar ordered the department to make the required documents available within the day. "We will take action against the department in case of non-cooperation. The Revenue Department has not taken the court's orders seriously," he said. The judge recalled that PTI chairman Imran Khan, whose party had bagged the most votes in the recent polls, had petitioned the court to take up the encroachments case. "Imran Khan is about to form the government and he is likely to take up this matter. He will be an example for the people. This case will be a test for him," Justice Nisar remarked. The court then reiterated earlier orders for completing the survey in 6 weeks granted at the request of the Survey Department. The hearing was then adjourned till the completion of the survey.
