Banned TTP commander Mufti Khalid murdered in Afghanistan

PESHAWAR (92 News) – A commander of the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and a member of its Shoora was shot dead in Afghanistan.

Sources said that Mufti Khalid was travelling in Kunar province when unknown people murdered him.

Mufti Khalid was the mastermind of a suicide attack on an election rally in 2008, which resulted in the death of 36 people.

Mufti Khalid was a link between Indian secret agency RAW and the TTP. He is said to be a close aide of Molvi Fazalullah.

His murder is the result of a clash between Swati and Mehsud Group.
