Basic human rights of Sharif family are being violated: Maryam Nawaz

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Maryam Nawaz, daughter of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has on Thursday said that the basic human rights of Sharif family are being violated. Talking to media at the Judicial Complex after indictment, she said that they were facing the courts as mark of respect for the law and constitution. By appearing before the courts, we are proving that the family of the former prime minister is not above the law, she said. The ex-PM’s daughter also rejected reports of rift within the family and the party, saying that the entire party is united under the leadership of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif. Maryam Nawaz went on to say that the judgment was issued earlier and trial held later but said they will face the charges, adding that they were not the ones who flee away. Earlier, she said that that it is for the first time the ‘Sicilian Mafia’ is appearing before the courts.
