Big cities evade destruction after two crevices in Manchar Lake

SEHWAN SHARIF (92 News) - Several big cities, including Sehwan Sharif, evaded destruction after two crevices in the Manchar Lake.

After the creation of two crevices, over 50 villages were inundated around the big cities. Larkana Indus Highway also drowned at several places, disrupting traffic.

The Manchar Lake is continuously overflowing due to the floods. However, water has reduced to some extent after the crevices.

On the other hand, several villages drowned after a crevice at the zero point dyke of MNV Drain. As a result, the big cities evaded destruction.

Wahar, the home union council of the Sindh chief minister, also inundated. Shahbaz Airport also fully drowned up to 4-5 feet. Dadu-Hyderabad Indus Highway was also badly affected.

Flood affectees said that their villages had completely drowned and up to 10-feet water is standing at several places. Affectees have been stranded in several villages.
