Big political mafias resisting supremacy of law, says PM Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that big political mafias are resisting the supremacy of law for which abattle is going on in the country.

Addressing a ceremony in connection with the ground breaking of LDA City Naya Pakistan Apartments on Friday, he said that he had seen the system deteriorating. "Hurdles are created in the system when corruption is in vogue in it," he maintained.

The prime minister said that the status quo create hurdles in the change. "In developed countries, there is no one above the law. Pakistan is going to become a welfare state," he added.

He announced that the mortgage facility has been introduced after the passage of foreclosure law to ensure low-cost housing for the poor and fixed income groups. He expressed satisfaction over the increased activity in the construction industry, saying the cement sale witnessed a record increase last month.

Imran Khan said that the government was working to provide universal health coverage to the people. "All the households have been covered in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa while the Punjab government has taken the challenge of providing health cards to each household by the end of this year," he added.

Imran Khan said that the network of Panagahs and that of 'Koi Bhooka Na Soay' Scheme will be expanded to the whole country.
