SEHWAN (92 News) – Pakistan Peoples’ Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has accused on Sunday that Prime Minister Imran Khan was himself weakening Pakistan’s case on Kashmir in the world. Talking to the journalists, Bilawal Bhutto termed that the premier did not make a strong case for the plight of occupied Kashmir's residents. “The public was stood by the government for lauding the premier’s speech, Pakistani public does not feel the same passion, they are disappointed,” he claimed. The PPP chairman said the prime minister’s speech in the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) should have been entirely on Kashmir. “[He] should have spoken about the democratic rights of our Kashmiri brothers and sisters,” Bilawal said. “Imran Khan should have raised the issue of Kashmir’s disputed status.” “This is a compromise that Pakistani people cannot tolerate,” Bilawal said. The lawmaker said that while it was important to highlight the human rights violations in occupied Kashmir, the premier should also have talked about UN's resolutions that grant Kashmiri residents the right to self determination. He vowed that his party would continue to raise voice for the Kashmiri people, adding, “India has turned the Kashmir valley into a jail.” The PPP chairman further noted that the prime minister spoke about political prisoners of Kashmir. “The prime minister would also be questioned about political prisoners in his own country,” he added. Earlier, PM Khan was accorded an outstanding reception on his arrival at Islamabad International Airport, after his successful US visit at the UN General Assembly session.
