Bilawal asks government to implement NAP with spirit
GHOTKI (92 News) – Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari here on Friday asked the federal government to implement National Action Plan (NAP) with full spirit.
Speaking to the journalists after condoling death of Sardar Ali Mohammad Mahar with his family, the PPP chairman said that they had political and family terms with Mahar family.
Bilawal Bhutto condemned Quetta blast and prayed that the bereaved families bear the loss with fortitude. He underscored the need to focus on terror incidents in Balochistan. He said that the government would have to take practical steps to tackle extremists in the country.
Taking jibe at the federal government, Bilawal said that the government was not sincere in implantation of the NAP. He further said that implementation on the National Action Plan was one of the major demand of the PPP.
He said that terrorism was on the rise in the country but Prime Minister Imran Khan did not convene a single meeting of the National Counter-Terrorism Authority (NACTA) so far.
Taking over Sindh’s hospitals is an attack on provincial autonomy: Bilawal
Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto has strongly condemned the taking over of three key hospitals of Sindh by the Federal government, terming it as an attack on ‘provincial autonomy’.
In a statement, the PPP chairman warned that they would protests against this act on every available forum. Bilawal forewarned the government of a possible action against the decision by the people of Sindh.
“The people of Sindh have invested billions of rupees on revolutionary improvements in Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC). National Institute of Cardiovascular Diseases (NICVD) and National Health of Child Health (NICH) after these hospitals were handed over to the province under the 18th amendment,” he said in his statement.
“Expansion of NICVD hospitals to several cities of the province has excelled the performance of Sindh government, which paid for expensive cardiac treatments of patients from all over Pakistan,” he added.
