KARACHI (92 News) – Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, along with his sister Bakhtawar Bhutto Zardari, released around 300 baby green turtles at the Hawkes bay Beach on Monday. “We must preserve and protect these turtles. They wanted to show they really cared about the species,” Bilawal said during his visit at the sea beach. He assured the Sindh Wildlife Department that he would ask the provincial government to immediately resolve the issues being faced by the department, which include a lack of resources and a shortage of employees. The PPP chairman was informed that the unit had been engaged in the conservation of marine turtles for over 34 years, and had even been given the President’s Award for Pride of Performance by the government of Pakistan for their efforts in this regard. Bilawal Bhutto arrived at the Turtle Conservation Unit at Hawkes Bay Beach at evening along with Sindh Local Government Minister Syed Nasir Hussain Shah, Bangul Khan Mahar and the special assistant to chief minister for Wildlife and Forest.
