Bilawal Bhutto accuses federal govt of sabotaging Sindh’s welfare work

KARACHI (92 News) – PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto has accused the federal government of sabotaging the welfare work of Sindh. Addressing a party meeting through video link on Thursday, he said that it was tragic that the federal government is opposing the good work of Sindh. He demanded that the relief fund provided by the World Bank, Asian Development Bank and G20 should be given to the provinces. The meeting also discussed the challenges faced by the country due to coronavirus. Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Health Minister Azra Pechuhu, Information Minister Nasir Shah, Sherry Rehman, Naveed Qamar, Shazia Marri, Nafeesa Shah and Qamar Zaman Kaira also attended the meeting. Earlier on Wednesday, Bilawal Bhutto has demanded convening of a session of the National Assembly. Addressing a meeting of the parliamentary committee through video link on Wednesday, he said that the federal government had failed in activating the parliament. “Protection of life of the parliamentary staff should be ensured during the session. Long discussions should be limited during the session,” he said. He said that the PPP has already demanded justified distribution of foreign aid among the provinces. “We will fully cooperate with the office of the Speaker. The presence of members for legislation and discussion should be resolved with mutual consultation,” he said. Bilawal Bhutto said that all parties are united on not to convene the virtual ses
