ISLAMABAD (92 News) – PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto has demanded that National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaisar should issue the production order for the detained MNA Ali Wazir. Talking to the media after appearing before the NAB on Wednesday, he said that the law and constitution were not followed in the arrest of Ali Wazir. Criticizing the government, he said that the NAB was being run under pressure. “PM Imran Khan is incapable of running the government,” he maintained. He also condemned the arrest and torture of the workers. “Our peaceful workers were attacked. Tear-gas and water cannons are not a new thing for us,” he said. The PPP chairman also announced to launch a protest movement against the government after Eidul Fitr. “We are taking to streets for the rights of the people, not to topple the government. The government would collapse under its own weight,” he said.
PM wants to run NAB through blackmailing: Bilawal Bhutto
On May 25, PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that Prime Minister Imran Khan wants to run the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) through blackmailing. Addressing a press conference, he condemned the leaked video of NAB Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal. “I have objections about the interview of the NAB chairman. The interview violated the court orders,” he added. The PPP chairman said that businessmen are afraid of the NAB attitude. “The government’s incompetence is the reason behind the price hike,” he declared. Bilawal Bhutto said that they would soon arrange another Iftar dinner. On the other hand, Bilawal Bhutto was briefed about the HIV issue. He also visited Ratto Dero Taluka Hospital and interacted with patients. He expressed his satisfaction with the performance of the administration. Bilawal Bhutto said that they would not tolerate the making the names of of HIV-affected people public. “We will not leave the affected people alone. We will have to face the HIV issue jointly,” he maintained. He ordered the Sindh chief minister to establish a fund for the AIDS patients. “I seek help from everyone against the disease,” he said. On the other hand, the number of AIDS patients has reached 678.
Bilawal asks government to implement NAP with spirit
On May 24, Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari asked the federal government to implement National Action Plan (NAP) with full spirit. Speaking to the journalists after condoling death of Sardar Ali Mohammad Mahar with his family, the PPP chairman said that they had political and family terms with Mahar family. Taking jibe at the federal government, Bilawal said that the government was not sincere in implantation of the NAP. He further said that implementation on the National Action Plan was one of the major demand of the PPP. He said that terrorism was on the rise in the country but Prime Minister Imran Khan did not convene a single meeting of the National Counter-Terrorism Authority (NACTA) so far.
