LAHORE (92 News) – PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has termed the agreement between the government and International Monetary Fund (IMF) sheer incompetence. Talking to the media on Friday, he said that the government should approach the IMF, but should not compromise on the rights of the poor. “The dreams shown by the PTI have been left in the Old Pakistan,” he maintained. The PPP chairman said that the government had compromised on the rights of the people while striking a deal with the IMF. “The government wasted one year in approaching the IMF. Later, it agreed to all conditions of the IMF. It accepted wrong taxes of the IMF and shifted the onus onto the people,” he said. Bilawal Bhutto said that the PPP had not accepted the IMF condition despite two floods and terrorism. “We did not compromise on the economic rights of the people. This government had made unreal promises which cannot be fulfilled.” He said that they want documentation of the economy. “The economy cannot be documented through the stick in a day. They have stifled the economy through compulsion,” he added. The PPP chairman demanded investigations into corruption committed by the government. “The House should replace the Leader of the House for his absence. The opposition will decide about the opposition leader if he is absent,” he added. Bilawal Bhutto said that their stance about the Wuhan is clear and the Sindh government has written to the Federation to bring back the citizens.
