Bilawal once again suggests MQM-P to quit alliance with govt
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari on Friday once again suggested MQM-P to quit its alliance with the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Talking to the journalists, the PPP chairman urged MQM-P to rethink alliance with PTI, which is making the lives of Karachi's residents difficult.
Bilawal Bhutto mentioned that the PTI is incapable of working alongside coalition partners. “There are a lot of ideological issues between PPP and MQM-P, but as far as Karachi’s residents are concerned, I believe that we should solve their issues together,” he added.
He expressed that if the MQM really stands with Karachi then it should leave the ministries as the PTI-led government is not capable of running the country. He added that the opposition parties are united to send the government packing, while the allies in the provinces are expressing reservations.
While taking aim at the government’s coalition party MQM-P, the PPP chairman said that the party should start focusing on the issues of Karachi rather than focusing on ministries.
He expressed hope that the ongoing issue of Inspector General of Police Sindh Kaleem Imam will be resolved soon with consultation between Prime Minister Imran Khan and Chief Minister Sindh Murad Ali Shah.
“The federal government has failed to meet the demands which included police and MQM’s municipal system,” he added. He said that the slogans against the PTI are being raised in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
