ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has termed that former president Asif Ali Zardari is brave politician and himself not opposing the physical remand. Speaking to the journalists – after meeting with his father during the appearance in accountability court – Bilawal Bhutto said that when the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) sought 10-day remand then Zardari asked them to take 90 days remand. The PPP chairman also said that the opposition members were being arrested on the basis of false cases. “We don’t accept this selected government and system. We had fought in the dictatorship and will expose this ‘selected’ government in front of the general public.” Bilawal Bhutto mentioned that no political leader had been detained and the party had not ordered to arrest anyone during the tenure of the PPP. “We have not taken revenge from PTI’s MNA Alamgir Khan, but PTI MNA don’t respect anyone and disrespected police officers,” he added. Bilawal further said that the PPP would not compromise on the 18th amendment. “Besides the joint opposition, PPP and other political parties have been protesting on their own…and massive rallies were carried out in the month of July,” said. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zGOdOJG6DWk Earlier today,  an accountability court extended 10-day physical remand each of PPP leaders Asif Ali Zardari and his sister Faryal Talpur in separate hearings in the federal capital. The PPP co-chairman and his sister were brought to the court in connection with fake bank accounts reference cases involving money laundering. The NAB prosecutor pleaded with the court to extend physical remand of Asif Zardari. Zardari’s counsel Latif Khosa requested Judge Muhammad Bashir to extend physical remand as of August 19 because of Eidul Azha holidays. The judge, however, remarked that the court could issue maximum remand of 15 days in one go. The court ordered to produce Zardari before the court on August 8. In another case, the court also extended 10-day physical remand of Frayal Talpur. PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and daughters  Bakhtawar Zardari Bhutto and Asifa Zardari Bhutto also reached the court to see their father.
