Billboards carrying Imran Khan’s portraits displayed in India for opening Kartarpur corridor

AMRITSAR (92 News) – The Indian Sikhs have displayed the billboards and banners with the portraits of Prime Minister Imran Khan for opening the Kartarpur corridor. The pictures of Navjot Singh Sidhu are also among the pictures displayed on the banners. It is being stated the Modi government has removed the banners. Talking to the media on Tuesday, Sikh leader Master Harpal Singh said that they would stage a protest in all Punjab, including Amritsar on Wednesday. He asked his supporters to gather outside the residence of Navjot Singh. On November 3, Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan had announced that Kartarpur Corridor is ready to welcome Sikh pilgrims. In a tweet this morning, the prime minister congratulated his concerned government team for readying the project in a record time for Guru Nanak Dev Jee's 550th birth day celebrations. The prime minister tweeted the message along with pictures of the set up at the Pakistani side for the incoming Sikh pilgrims at Kartarpur.   PM Khan also congratulated his government for readying Kartarpur in a “record time” for Guru Nanak’s birth anniversary. The prime minister is expected to inaugurate the project on the 9th of this month.
Earlier, PM Imran Khan has announced to waive off two requirements for Sikh pilgrimages coming to Kartarpur from India. In a tweet, the prime minister said that the Sikh pilgrimages will not need a passport and just have a valid Identity Card. He said they no longer have to register ten days in advance. Prime Minister also announced that no fee will be charged on day of inauguration of Kartarpur and on Baba Guru Nanak Dev Ji’s 550th birthday.
