ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Following the announcement of the Saudi government, the biometric fingerprint verification for Umrah visa will be implemented from today (Monday). According to details, the Saudi government on November 1, 2017 declared the condition of biometric fingerprint verification mandatory for all Pakistanis aspiring to Umrah. The pilgrims will not be able to submit their applications in the Saudi Embassy for Umrah visas until their fingerprints are taken. The Saudi Embassy had explained that the biometric verification will provide relief to the people of Pakistan. “The people will no longer have to wait in long queues at Jeddah airport anymore.” Moreover, the relevant company, tasked to conduct biometric verification, has started to take fingerprints of future Umrah pilgrims.
