ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Senator Mir Hasil Bizenjo can face disqualification and five-year jail term because of his controversial remarks about the head of a national institution linking to Pak Army, said Federal Minister for Law and Justice Barrister Mohammad Farogh Naseem on Friday. In 92 News program Night Edition, the minister said the senator could face jail up to five years under Sections 499 and 500 of Pakistan Penal Code (PPC). Any disqualification from public office follows the Article 63 1 G of the Constitution that speaks about humiliating Pakistan Armed Forces, he added. The minister said Pak Army is considered one of the top rates armies in the world and that a man running the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) is proud of nation. "The nation knows the historical successes of Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa and Gen Faiz. Insha Allah we will see the matter of Bizenjo's disqualification." Naseem said the opposition wanted to create unrest in the country. "The government will not create any hurdles in the long march of the opposition as it believes in democratic struggle." He said the government will not withdraw medical treatment from former prime minister Nawaz Sharif if his condition worsens.
