Blast at a crowded market in Quetta kills 3, injures above 20

QUETTA (92 News) – At least three people were killed and more than 20 people including women and children injured when a powerful blast went off at a crowded market in the provincial capital on Friday. The market was crowded with people busy in shopping when the blast took place. Police and rescue officials reached the spot and rushed the injured people to nearby hospital for medical treatment. Several injured people are said to be in critical condition, while the critically injured people are being treated at CMH.   Qta blast   Police and security forces cordoned off the area and launched search operation for the arrest of the culprits. The Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) collected the evidence from the scene. According to the BDS, 5-6 kilogram explosive material was planted with a cycle which went off through a time device. Balochistan Chief Minister Sanaullah Zehri strongly condemned the blast and expressed grief over the loss of lives.
