BNP's Mengal skips APC, calls on PM Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Staying away from the All Parties Conference (APC), Balochistan National Party-Mengal (BNP-Mengal) chief Sardar Akhtar Megal called on Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday. It is pertinent to mention here that the APC called by Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F (JUI-F) Maulana Fazl-ur-Rehman which was held in Islamabad today. Earlier today, the BNP-Mengal decided not to attend the APC. It was reported that the government approached its coalition partner after which it declined the offer to attend the APC. It also said that the BNP-Mengal decided not to attend the APC because they want the opposition to clarify its position first. Prime Minister Imran Khan met with the members of National Assembly and its coalition parties. A meeting was also held between Prime Minister Imran Khan and a delegation of BNP-Mengal led by Sardar Akhtar Megal. The MNAs including Sher Ali Arbab, Noreen Farooq Ibrahim and Muhammad Aslam called on the prime minister. The conference hosted the representatives of opposition parties at Islamabad to formulate a joint strategy for future course-of-action against the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government. Fazl convened the APC after consultation with former prime minister Nawaz Sharif. The opposition parties will consult on the change of Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani, preventing the budget from getting passed from both houses, anti-government movement and a possible lockdown of the capital city in the APC.
