Boat Controversy: Modi govt removes Coast Guard BK Loshali from post
LAHORE (Web Desk) – Indian government removed on Tuesday its Coast Guard officer BK Loshali from his post, who earlier contradicted Indian Defence Ministry's version on explosion of a ‘Pakistani boat’ on December 31 last year.
Loshali was Chief of Staff at the Northwest region and will now face a board of inquiry at Gandhinagar.
Last week, the Defence Ministry found Loshali's apology unsatisfactory. "Let me tell you. I hope you remember 31st December night. We blew off that Pakistani boat. We have blown them off. I was there at Gandhinagar and I told that night: blow the boat off. We don't want to serve them biryani," Loshali had reportedly said.
