Bodies of 21 plane crash victims handed over to relatives: Arshad Malik

KARACHI (92 News) – PIA CEO Arshad Malik has said that the bodies of 21 victims of the plane crash tragedy have been handed over to their relatives. Addressing a press conference on Saturday, he said that bodies of other martyrs would be handed over to their kin after the DNA matching. “The aircraft investigation team has been constituted. Now I have nothing to do with the matter. I will give whatever will be demanded from me. I will present myself for fair investigations,” he said. He said that responsible people would be taken to task. The PIA CEO said that the Emergency Response Centre will remain open for the next week. “DNA samples have been given to Karachi University. A team of the Punjab government is working on DNA,” he said. Minister for Aviation Chaudhry Ghulam Sarwar said that the government will try to make the plane crash report public in three months. He said that compensation amount had been increased to Rs one million from Rs500,000. “All-possible help will be extended to the victim families,” he added.
