Bomb disposal unit defuses bomb in Peshawar

PESHAWAR (92 News) – The Bomb Disposal Unit (BDU) has on Monday defused a 5-kilogram pressure cooker bomb after the bomb could explode at a local school in Peshawar’s Garhi Qamar Din area. As per details, the bomb was planted inside a local school building in Garhi Qamar Din area but the bomb could not explode. After being informed, the Bomb Disposal Unit (BDU) reached the spot and defused the bomb. On the other hand, at least 42 people were apprehended during a search and strike operation conducted in different areas of the provincial capital on Monday. Police carried out raids in different areas of Peshawar including Bashirabad and searched more than 200 houses. During the raids, police detained 42 people including four illegal Afghan nationals. Police further shifted 23 suspects to unknown place for further interrogation.
