Boy sexually assaulted four days ago dies, relatives stage demo

LAHORE (92 News) – A minor boy who was critically injured in a sexual assault four days ago died in hospital on Sunday. Relatives of Framan staged a demonstration by placing the boy at Babu Sabu Chowk. They continued the protest for four hours. After talks with the police high-ups, the protesters dispersed peacefully and took the body to their home. Owing to the protest, traffic remained blocked for several hours. The protesters appealed to the prime minister and the chief minister to ensure them justice. They said that the culprit had already committed such crimes and he should be hanged publicly. The victim’s father alleged that the police are protecting the accused despite his arrest and confession to the crime.
