KARACHI (92 News) – The brave captain Sajjad Gul embraced martyrdom while saving citizens, said the people who witnessed the plane crash tragedy that claimed 97 lives on Thursday. They said that the captain had diverted the plane to the street and its wings fell on roofs of the houses. “No person died on the ground as the plane fell in the street,” they added. According to the initial report prepared by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the captain made two attempts to land the plane. In an attempt to land on the runway, the plane’s landing gears were jammed. The plane belly did not touch the runway. After taking off again, the plane crashed in the attempt to land. The pilot tried his best to land the plane till the last time. He could not save the plane, but he saved the residential area from a big disaster. Federal Minister for Aviation Chaudhary Ghulam Sarwar visited the site of the accident and was astonished to see the skills of the pilot. Sindh Governor Imran Ismail said that a big loss of human lives could occur had the pilot lost his senses. “The plane fell in residential area in such a way only a few houses were damaged and no casualty occurred,” he added.
