Brave martyred Aitzaz Hasan remembered on his 5th death anniversary

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – A brave and kind heart young student of Hangu district martyred Aitzaz Hasan – who sacrificed his life to stop a suicide bomber from entering his school in Hangu – is being remembered on his fifth death anniversary on Sunday. On January 6, 2014, 15-year-old Hasan, a student of grade nine, became a national hero after he saved hundreds of lives as a suicide bomber blew himself up in front of the gate of his school. The people from across the country paid tributes to martyred Aitzaz Hassan who saves hundreds of innocent lives. In an effort to stop the attacker, Hasan ran towards the bomber and grabbed him, trying to prevent the attacker from entering the school. In the scuffle between Hasan and the bomber, the explosives went off killing the terrorist and Hasan. Hasan was later awarded the Sitara-e-Shujaat for his act of bravery. Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry while remembering Hasan tweeted, “Today is the Death Anniversary of Shaheed Aitzaz Hassan young boy sacrificed his life but saved 100s of students by preventing a suicide attack on a Hangu School, tonight PTV ll telecast a Film #Salute by Shahzad Rafique on this young boy, #ShaheedoonkoSalam.”
