ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Pakistan and India have agreed on redesigning of Miyar Hydroelectric project.

The agreement was made at the end of two-day meeting of Indus Water Commissioners of Pakistan and India on water issues in Islamabad on Tuesday.

The Pakistani delegation raised objection over the controversial Miyar and other hydropower projects which were accepted by the Indian Indus Water commissioner.

It was also agreed that Lower Kalnai, Pakal Dul projects will be inspected again. The Pakistani delegation was of the view that it would take the matter to International court of justice.

The Pakistani delegation was headed by Mirza Asif Saeed while P K Saxena led the Indian delegation.

More talks on the water conflict would be held in India in September this year.
