Bright, progressive face of Naya Pakistan emerging in world: Firdous

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said on Friday that a bright and progressive face of “Naya Pakistan” is emerging in the world. In a series of tweets, Firdous Ashiq Awan said the country has been put on the right economic track. She also said it is under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan that the country witnessed a historic improvement of twenty eight places in the World Bank's ease of doing business rankings. The special assistant has mentioned that the World Bank’s report would also have opened eyes of those who up till now were misleading the people regarding the country's economy. “Pakistan’s improvement in the World Bank's Ease of Doing business ranking is a clear proof of it. She said it is the first time in the history that the national exchequer is getting filled instead of the pockets of rulers.” She was also confident that steps directed towards ease of doing business will prove to be milestone for investment promotion and industrial development. Earlier, speaking as a chief guest at performance of a special theatre play “Half Widow”, Firdous Ashiq Awan says Pakistan is concerned at the alarming situation in Occupied Kashmir and urged the international community to help resolve the Kashmir issue according to UN resolutions and wishes of Kashmiris. She said Occupied Kashmir is under curfew for the last 82 days with complete media and communication blackout. The whole valley has been turned into a jail and there are disturbing news of shortage of essential items like food and medicines.
