Britain urged to convince India to stop violence against Kashmiris

NEW YORK (92 News) – Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has urged Britain to play its role in convincing India to stop violence against innocent Kashmiris. Talking to British Prime Minister Theresa May in New York, the prime minister said that people of Jammu and Kashmir must be allowed to choose their destination under UN Security Council resolutions. Theresa May appreciated Pakistan’s role in eradicating terrorism and extremism from the country. The British Prime Minister lauded economic turnaround achieved by the government. She also acknowledged Pakistan’s role in bringing lasting peace to Afghanistan.
