British officials confirm Tariq Mir’s statement of Indian fundings to MQM

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – British officials confirmed Tariq Mir’s 2012 statement that statement had been recorded before Scotland Yard police in Edgware Police Station on May 30, 2012. According to sources, Interior Ministry had contacted British officials regarding Tariq Mir’s disclosure to British police the facts regarding Indian funding to MQM. British authorities have started cooperation and informed the Pakistan Interior ministry officials in this regard. The law-enforcement agencies will now use Tariq Mir’s statement as charge sheet. Earlier, the MQM leadership questioned the authenticity of the statement.
