Building collapse kills 6 Pakistanis in Saudi Arabia

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - In Saudi Arabia, six Pakistani workers were killed and seven injured when an under-construction building collapsed at Al-Qassim University in Buraidah, Foreign Office said in a press release on Tuesday. Two Pakistani workers are still missing. Foreign Office said Embassy officials along with a legal consultant are present at Al-Qassim to coordinate and supervise arrangements for the treatment of injured citizens and for dispatch of dead bodies to Pakistan.. It said the Ambassador of Pakistan is in constant contact with the Chief Executive of the Manazel Construction Company, who has assured of full cooperation with the Embassy of Pakistan for the best possible treatment of the injured and expeditious dispatch of dead bodies to Pakistan. The FO said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Pakistan’s Embassy in Riyadh will continue to monitor the situation. The families of Pakistanis employed by Manazel Construction Company can contact the Embassy of Pakistan in Riyadh.
