Burden on poor increased by reducing power rate for industry: Bilawal Bhutto

ASTORE (92 News) – PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that the burden on the poor has been increased by reducing the power rate for industry.

Addressing a corner meeting on Wednesday, he said that the PPP had increased the pension of the elders by 100 percent and salaries of the government employees were raised by 150 percent. "The government is deducting the amount of the Benazir Income Support Programme," he claimed.

Bilawal Bhutto said that the people are being deprived of their livelihood by the PTI government. "Pakistan is facing historic inflation, poverty and unemployment," he maintained.

He said that about 25,000 jobs were given in Gilgit-Baltistan during the Zardari government. "Gilgit-Baltistan got identity during our government in 2009. Rights of the people of Gilgit-Baltistan were increased during the PPP government," he added.
