Bureaucrat who perform will continue otherwise removed: Usman Buzdar
LAHORE (92 News) – Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar on Monday clarified that the bureaucrat, who performs, will continue otherwise removed from his designation.
Speaking to the journalists, the Punjab chief minister said that he can transfer and replace any bureaucrat across Punjab within his constitutional limits. He also warned to the officer for performing better otherwise they should have to leave.
Buzdar said that the appointment of Punjab Bank president would be made according to the rules and regulations, adding that the government reserves the right for transfers and postings.
Usman Buzdar mentioned that Sharif family remained in power for 40 years and the bureaucrats worked under them, but now, their loyalties should be with the state instead of individuals. He also said that the bureaucracy will have to implement the decisions taken by the political leadership.
Commenting on the matter of inflation and Ramzan package, he hoped that there would be a clear difference in the prices of Ramzan package.
IGP Amjad Javed Saleemi removed from his post
Earlier in the day, Inspector General of Police (IGP) Amjad Javed Saleemi has been removed from his post.
In this regard an official notification has been issued by the Punjab government. The notification stated that Arif Nawaz Khan has been appointed new IGP in place of Javed Saleemi.
The former IGP has been asked to report to the Establishment division as per the notification.
Bureaucracy reshuffled in Punjab
A day earlier, the Punjab government on Sunday reshuffled the bureaucracy of Punjab.
According to the details garnered, the provincial government deployed Naseem Sadiq as secretary food department while Additional Chief Secretary Fazeel Asghar was transferred to the federal government.
Secretary food shokat Ali was deployed as the secretary of Agriculture Department. Others transferred include Hamid Yaqoob sheikh who was replaced by Raheel Siddiqui in finance department. Dr Raheel was working as secretary to CM prior to this transfer.
Shoaib Akhter has been given additional charge of principal secretary to the chief minister.
