Cabinet approves giving of Lahore's Chamba House & Karachi's Qasr-e-Naz on lease

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The federal cabinet on Tuesday approved giving of Lahore Chamba House and Karachi Qasr-e-Naz on lease. The forum also approved to prepare the Satellite Service Policy. Under the policy, foreign and local companies will be bound to use Pakistan’s satellite services. The decision will save billions of rupees annually. The Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB) chairman briefed the cabinet about the performance of the department. The cabinet also endorsed the decisions made by the Economic Coordination Committee and the Cabinet Committee on Energy on June 4. It also approved the extension in the imposition of Mandatory Maintenance Act 1952 for employment under all cadres of the Climate Department. Meanwhile, Federal Minister for Planning Asad Umar raised the issue of the statement of Fawad Chaudhry in the cabinet. The prime minister directed the ministers to maintain unity and be cautious during the conversation. Federal Minister for Water Resources openly criticized the policies of Asad Umar, Razzaq Dawood and Nadeem Babar. He said that the people in the cabinet are hatching conspiracies. “The people in the cabinet are playing games and we cannot remain silent on them. They are considering themselves to be a PM,” he said. He asked the ministers to give straightforward statements in the meeting. On the other hand, Prime Minister Imran Khan directed an indiscriminate action against the wheat profiteers.
