KARACHI (92 News) – A smartly turned out contingent of gentlemen Cadets from the Pakistan Military Academy (PMA), Kakul, mounted ceremonial guard at the Mazar of Quaid-e-Azam on Tuesday as a part of celebration to mark the Father of the nation’s 143rd birth anniversary. The ceremony was held to perform change of guard at Mazar-e-Quaid on his 143rd birth anniversary. However, the high level military official attended the ceremony. Sindh Governor Imran Ismail and Chief Minister Murad ali Shah also were present on the occasion. Quran Khwani was held at the Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi while change of guards ceremony was conducted, early morning. A large-number of people from all walks of life visited the tomb to pay tribute for the services he rendered for the creation of a separate homeland for the Muslims of the Sub-continent. Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah was born on December 25, 1876 in Karachi. He served as leader of the All-India Muslim League from 1913 until Pakistan s independence on 14 August 1947.
