Calamity-hit Murree cleared, claims Punjab CM Usman Buzdar

LAHORE (92 News) -- Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Bazdar has said that the calamity-stricken Murree has been cleared and all the families have been shifted to rest  houses and hotels.

In a tweet on Saturday, he said that the needs of tourists, including medicines and food,  were being fulfilled. "Till last night, there were 33,745 vehicles in Murree and so far 33,373 vehicles have been evacuated," he added. 

The chief minister said that the expressway is clear and the traffic on the Old GT Road is slow, while snow and trees are being removed from Kaldana to Barian. "All the management of Rawalpindi Division is participating in the rescue operation," he concluded.
