Won't fight against those laying down arms, says Sheikh Rasheed

KARACHI (92 News) – Interior Minister Sheikh Rasheed has said that he could not say whether talks with the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) will succeed or not.

Talking to the media on Saturday, he said that the people involved in terrorism would not be pardoned. "Pakistan will not fight against those laying down arms. However, the case of massacre at Army Public School is different. We will eliminate terrorism and will not allow its return at any cost," he added.

Sheikh Rasheed said that they would not let Afghanistan go through any crisis. "No super power can bypass us. We can resume talks with India if it resolves the Kashmir dispute," he maintained.

He said that the FIA had been directed to take action against those hoarding the dollar. "The issue of extension in the tenure of NAB Chairman Justice (retd) Javed Iqbal will be resolved next week," he added.

He said that the Imran Khan was prevailing over the world politics. "We have a great army and knows about good and bad very well," he added.

The minister asked the world to give the way to the Afghan government so that they could adjust in the world.
